Q: How does the machine work?
A: Select - Swipe - Return
Browse through the movie inventory. Select the title you want. Select “Buy” or “Rent.” Swipe your credit card and take your movie. To return a rented DVD, select “Return” and place the DVD in the return slot.

Q: How much does it cost to rent a DVD/Blu-Ray?
A: $1.50 per night (plus tax) for DVDs.
$2.00 per night (plus tax) for Blu-Rays.

Q: What payment methods do you accept?
A: We currently accept Visa, MasterCard, and American Express credit cards. We also accept Visa or MasterCard debit cards. Sorry, our kiosks cannot accept cash or Discover cards.

Q: What do I do if the DVD I rented does not play?
A: DVDs acquire fingerprints, oil, and dirt as they are handled. To clean a smudged DVD, use a soft lint-free cloth, and wipe gently from the center of the disc outward. Only clean discs with a solution of water and mild detergent (like liquid soap) or basic rubbing alcohol. Be careful not to wet or damage the security tag. Do not use abrasives, solvents, acidic cleaners, or anything that could damage the DVD. If the DVD still will not play, please contact Customer Service.

Q: What do I do if the kiosk won’t return the DVD?
A: Each DVD and case has a security tag that the kiosk uses to track rentals and returns. If either security tag is missing, the kiosk will not rent or return the DVD. Replacement security tags are available for purchase from Star Super Market at the Customer Service counter.

Q: When are DVDs due back to the kiosk?
A: For a one-day rental, DVDs are due back by 8:00PM local time the night after they are rented.

Q: What happens if I’m late?
A: If the DVD is not returned by 8:00PM local time, you will simply be charged for an additional day's rental.

Q: What if I lose the DVD or it’s never returned?
A: After 14 days, you will be charged $25.00 (plus tax). The DVD is now yours to keep. Purchased DVDs cannot be returned.

Q: How often do you update the kiosks with new releases?
A: New releases are added every week depending on availability. Become a member and be the first to know of new and upcoming releases.

Q: Can I reserve movies online and pick them up at the kiosk?
A: This service is available for members only. Simply login. Select your movie. Click “Reserve.” Reservations are held up to 12 hours. If you do not pick up your reservation, you will be charged $1.50 (plus tax) for a one-day rental.

Q: Can I purchase a DVD from your kiosk?
A: Costs are displayed on the kiosk screen. Simply select “Buy” for the movie you want to purchase.

Q: What if I get a movie out of the kiosk and decide I don’t want to rent it?
A: You have 10 minutes to review the movie. If during this 10 minute period you decide you no longer want the movie, simply select "Return" and insert the DVD back into the kiosk at no cost. If you used a debit card, a $7.00 temporary authorization may post to your account for a few days depending on your bank's policies.

Q: How much is authorized on my debit/credit card when I rent?
A: For rentals, a $7.00 temporary authorization applies per movie. Once the movie is returned, the hold is released and you are only charged for the days rented. This may happen immediately or may take a few days depending on your bank’s policies. For this reason, we suggest the use of credit cards rather than debit cards. If you have further questions about when a hold will be released, please contact the customer service number listed on the back of your card.

Q: How do I get a receipt?
A: Enter your email address when you rent or purchase from our kiosk and we will send you email receipts and return confirmations for every transaction. We will never sell or share your email address.

Q: How can I receive coupon codes for free or discounted rentals?
A: Become a member! We periodically send coupon codes via email to our customers. Be sure you’re getting an email receipt with all transactions.
